Photography to me is about capturing a moment in time, a split second, barely visible to the naked eye. Only when the image is captured at the touch of a button are we both dazzled and amazed by the findings.

It is a recording, a fleeting moment that will forever be ingrained in our consciousness. It is about people and places, expressions and landscapes, triumph and failure, a beginning and an end. Photography acts as an autobiographical vehicle, charting my course and the course of those around me

My art work is a direct result of time spent in the textile sector working a great deal with fabrics and textiles. Experimentation is at the heart of my work, always trying to push the boundaries in terms of colour, texture and shape. Always looking to create a vibrancy and dynamism in the work.

When I approach a canvas, a blank canvas as all artists do there is no objective. My aim is to create a piece that is distinctive, and for me,
pushes the boundaries. I never like to repeat myself in any format..it's about the surprise element which I thrive upon; when you
finish a piece and look upon it as something you thought you were never able to achieve or create - it is revealing.

I have been inspired by so many; including artists such as Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Van Gogh, Miro, Kadinsky etc. to architects such as Frank Gehry, Calatrava, Dali etc. The list goes on...it's all aboutpeople/artists who wish to bring their bold vision to an otherwise sometimes austere world.
